The Otto is a handmade outdoor sauna crafted in our Devonshire workshop, combining architectural design with natural materials. Clad in charred timber and black powder-coated steel, it features a panoramic-style glass window, waterproof downlighting, and a compact 2m x 3m footprint—ideal for woodlands, gardens, or remote retreats.
Inside, floating benches in thermally modified ash and warm Thermowood walls create a serene atmosphere. Natural sheep’s wool insulation, passive ventilation, and a HUUM Drop stove—with optional app control—deliver a modern take on the traditional Finnish sauna experience.

A large, toughened double-glazed picture window invites natural light and frames your view of the outside world. Whether deep in woodland or overlooking a quiet field, this connection to nature lies at the heart of The Otto’s sauna experience.
The Exterior
To the front and side elevation, The Otto is clad in charred timber using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique and finished with black powder-coated steel, The Otto makes a bold architectural statement. Its monopitch roof, and soft exterior lighting allow it to sit quietly and elegantly in woodland, rural, or landscaped surroundings.
